- Foundations On-line
- Provides direct links to a large number of foundations. This site also provides information on
fund-raising software, products and consultants.

- Primarily a training service offering workshops and publications for grant writers,

- TRAM: Research Funding Opportunities and Administration
- Well-developed site which links to many different lists of funding resources. Includes access to
grant application forms as well as standard agreements for subcontracts, non-disclosures,
licenses. Initially developed by the Texas Research Administrators Group (TRAM); updated
daily.
- Yahoo - Grants
- Links to many sites which have substantially developed lists of funding opportunities.
Federal Sources of Grants And Funding Information
- Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)
- CFDA is a government-wide compendium of over 1,300 Federal programs, projects,
services, and activities. Grants and research opportunities including those related to biomedicine
and health are included in this source.
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC): Funding Opportunities
- Includes detailed information about current funding opportunities supported by CDC.

- Commerce Business Daily (via Community of Science)
- The Commerce Business Daily (CBD) is a database of U.S. Government procurement
invitations, contract awards, subcontracting leads, and sales of surplus property and foreign
business opportunities. CBD is updated daily.
- CRISP
- CRISP is a major online gopher database containing information on research
projects and programs supported by the Department of Health and Human Resources. The lists
are arranged by the year the awards were given.
- Federal Register (via Community of Science)
- Source for announcements from the Federal Government which include notices about new
granting and funding programs.
- FEDIX (Federal Information Exchange)
- FEDIX provides access to federal agency information on research programs, contact
information, educational programs and services, equipment grants, procurement notices, minority
opportunities and more. FEDIX offers a support service called FEDIX Opportunity Alert which
provided free e-mail notices of research opportunities in targeted areas of interest.
- GrantsNet
- Web tool for finding and exchanging information about the Department of Health and
Human Services grants as well as other Federal grant programs. Excellent links to full-text
regulatory information.
- Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)
- Grant and contract solicitations are about half-way down the page.
- Health Resources and Services Administration
(HRSA) Grants and Contracts
- This site provides detailed information about grants available from HRSA's Bureau of
Primary Health Care, the Bureau of Health Professions, Bureau of Maternal and Child Health
and the Bureau of Health Resources Development. Also links to information about proposed
RFQs and RFPs.
- National Institutes of Health: Funding Opportunities
- This web site is the primary source of information about NIH grants and fellowships. The
Grants Page links to program guidelines, extramural programs information and the
NIH Guide for Grants and
Contracts. Click on the "Funding Opportunities" button found on the opening page.
- National Science Foundation (NSF)
- Covers all aspects of NSF funding. Included are funding
opportunity announcements, proposal preparation information, application deadlines, and a
"Grants Proposal Forms Kit."

- Office of Contract and Grants Administration (OCGA), University of California San Diego
- Provides relevant information to the UCSD research community. Site provides access to
electronically available forms related to OCGA business as well as to forms required by many of
the large funding agencies (NSF, NIH, etc.) and societies/foundations (American Heart
