1. How do I search for items on reserve for my class?

3. Where do I go to check-out class reserve materials?Reserve material may be checked-out at the Circulation Desk. You must have a UCSD ID card to check-out material.4. How long may I keep a reserve item? Can it be renewed?Reserve items may be checked-out for a 2-hour period or can be checked-out overnight 2 hours before the library closes. You may check reserve items out a second time if there isn't a waiting list. 5. How can I be sure that an item will be available when I need it?You may place a hold on an item for the same day only (today, not tommorow), including overnight check-outs.6. What are electronic reserves?Electronic reserves makes available instructor assigned materials including but not limited to print, digital text, audio and image files, and non-copyrighted material such as syllabi, lecture notes, and solutions in support of academic instructional programs.Electronic reserves are made available via the World-Wide Web and are provided exclusively for use by the UCSD campus community, including students enrolled in UCSD distance education classes. Access is restricted to UCSD IP addresses. 7. How do I access electronic reserves from off-campus?The Reserves Website is restricted to UCSD IP addresses. For UCSD users with outside Internet connections, the Proxy Server is one solution for you. 10. What if the library does not own the item I'd like to place on reserve?The Biomedical Library will attempt to order any book needed for course reserves. If a book needs to be ordered from the publisher, there may be a delay of several weeks.
