Please note: In response to the campus-wide holiday closure, Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery and PLUS services from the UCSD Libraries will be closed Saturday, December 22, 2007 through Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Requests submitted during that time will be processed in the order in which they were received, beginning on Wednesday, January 2.
Books, journal articles, government publications, and other materials for your work at UCSD that are not owned or are missing from the UCSD Libraries' collections may be borrowed or photocopied from other libraries for UCSD faculty, staff or students. (Non-UCSD users may use our fee-based PLUS Program.) Sorry, we cannot process requests for recreational reading.

Our delivery policies have changed recently - please take note before ordering:

  • Journal articles will be delivered electronically unless you specify an alternate method.
  • Books can be picked up at any specified UCSD library.
  • Book chapters will be delivered electronically unless you specify an alternate method.

There are several more direct ways to request Inter-Library Loans from within our catalog and databases. Here are some pointers - if you have further questions, please contact us.

Information about CDL Request
Request materials NOT owned by UCSD from the MELVYL Catalog and journal article databases such as MEDLINE, BIOSIS, PsycINFO and more.
The Circuit
Request books NOT located at UCSD, but owned by SDSU, USD, or CSU-San Marcos.
Information about Roger Request
Request UCSD-owned books to be delivered to a library location more convenient to you - e.g., request books from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Library to be sent to Biomed, etc.
