Document Delivery: Request an Item
Please note: In response to the campus-wide holiday closure, Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery and PLUS services from the UCSD Libraries will be closed Saturday, December 22, 2007 through Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Requests submitted during that time will be processed in the order in which they were received, beginning on Wednesday, January 2.
Use this form to request items. NOTE: Copies will be delivered electronically when possible, unless you specifically request an alternate method.

How much will it cost?
Copies from materials located at any UCSD Library will cost $15 for the first 15 pages and then $0.15 per additional page. Books from the UCSD Libraries are loaned for 4 weeks at a cost of $20. The cost for items not available at UCSD is usually between $20 and $25. Copyright fees will also be collected and paid to the legal rights holder through the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) for any copies provided. For more information regarding copyright charges or document delivery fees see the price list on the PLUS Information Services website.

How long will it take?
Depending upon availability it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to acquire your desired material. We process every request as quickly as possible. You may indicate the need for rush service for items from UCSD's collections on the form below.

For information on the status of your request, call (858) 534-8622 or send e-mail to plus@ucsd.edu.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, US Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would invoke violation of copyright law.
